![]() On that receipt included not only the license number but the receipt number that the Adobe rep used to verify my authenticity. The good thing for me was that I kept the email receipt direct from Adobe for the purchase (licensing) of the software. I don't know how many calls you get from around the world saying they are from the IRS or Microsoft - but I get a lot of them! I did make the call, and after an awkward and cautious back and forth, I found the representative in India to be very professional and helpful. In any case I noticed that the serial numbers were correct, but interestingly, some of the CS6 items said they were legit, and other items with the same serial number said they were tampered with. I was very leery of what it was asking me to do, because just last week I had to spend a fair amount of a day removing a bit of malware from my wife's MacBook Pro - and the vector was "update your Adobe Acrobat Browser". Halloween was the first day that the pop-up started appearing. And if you ask me, if anybody is acting like pirates here, it's Adobe. I think that Adobe, maybe influenced by the greed of Donald Trump, found a way to add to its' billion dollar bottom line simply by sending people messages that the program they paid good money for is not the real thing. Look, I don't have anything to fight them with and I'll continue to use the other seven Adobe software programs I bought until Adobe suddenly sends me a message that they're pirated. Or the same company who hires people who can barely speak english and just repeats talking points? If this Adobe software is so great, why does it take years to find a "pirated" program? Or is it like their software that told me last night that someone would be with me in an estimated 13 minutes when it really took 26 minutes? I think the same guy may have developed both those programs. This came on the original disc rather than a download program and I got the same message-that it isn't valid. How do YOU know it's pirated? So I had an even older version of Premiere, CS4, (yes I bought it on EBAY and used it trouble free for about two years with no problems). ![]() Maybe you have a solution that can help with this product? Seems to be it would be an easy fix that would satisfy all the legitimate owners of this product. I have to say that reading all the above correspondence above doesn't give me any confidence that Adobe can or want's to fix this problem. This time the Support Specialist sends back a chat that says Adobe no longer supports this product and then disconnected me. So I went on the chat support again and explained the problem and even gave the case number of all my correspondence. If you go to the link on the message it takes you to Creative Cloud and asks what program you interested in. I was using Acrobat X Pro and the pop us comes up and says, " This copy of Acrobat is not genuine Adobe software". I've keep all the Adobe Case emails so I could keep track of Adobe's service. I've talked to Tech Support from Adobe, been on the Chat and even let the tech support guy take over my computer last week remotely and uninstall and re install Acrobat X Pro. I disabled the Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service, reloaded, rebooted, re installed, started from scratch with a clean install of Windows 7 Pro and changed the hard drive and still have the same problem. I purchased all my adobe products from and they're all registered and activated on the Adobe website. I've had this same problem with Adobe Acrobat X Pro, and CS5.5 and CS 6, since April. Now as I said only the Lightroom 6 exists. I recall in visits past to Adobe's site all my products were listed there. And no mention that I have the product which I purchased directly from Adobe some at least 3 years ago and registered on the same day as I downloaded it. and there is NO Serial Number listed for my CS6. But my current version of Photoshop CS6 which I upgraded from CS5 Extended, which I upgraded from Photoshop 4 etc. First, I have been buying and using Adobe products from Adobe directly since 1995. And much to my surprise and chagrin the only product that Adobe had listed for my was Adobe Lightroom. She gave my a case number which is 0221790779. The customer service agent told me she was "escalating" my case. basically I was told that I'd be contacted by phone or email within 24 to 48 hours. I don't appreciate the fact Adobe farmed out it's customer service. I called the 866.493.4991 number in India, sorry I just find it hard to believe that we can not provide these jobs for people in our own country. Dave thanks for your quick response I've was out most of yesterday and organizing my gear for a shoot this morning, but here's what I did on the 19th.
